A PADGATE post office has banned two young boys for making too much noise when playing on their bikes.

Thomas Mundry, aged five, and David, aged nine, of Church Drive have been banned from the post office on Fearnhead Lane, for annoying the shopkeepers.

The youngsters, who had recently bought horns for their bikes, were beeping them.

The shop has even gone as far as refusing to sell sweets to the boys' father and their aunt because they might give them to the children.

The boys' dad, David Mundry, said: "The woman from the post office complained to the police about them making too much noise and banned them."

He said the boys had bought the bike horns themselves and added: "I am not going to take a toy off them when they bought it with their own pocket money!"

The post office did not wish to offer a comment but a spokesman did confirm that they had contacted the police over the matter and that they were dealing with it.
