BOB The Builder and Supergirl were among the guests at a pub fun day that raised cash for a Liverpool orphanage.

Staff and punters at The Butcher's Arms in Liverpool Road, Great Sankey, collected more than £100 for Clumba Lodge on Sunday.

The 'Centenary One in 100' event celebrated the building's 100th birthday and the first birthday of The Butcher's Arms as a Scottish and Newcastle Steak and Ale pub.

Attractions included a bouncy castle, magician and live music.

Andrew Moore, who manages the pub with his wife Barbara, said: "It was a fantastic day, the weather was brilliant and everyone enjoyed themselves."
