APPLETON Cricket Club welcomed 25 new junior members at the second cricket introductory course to be held at the club this year.

The children were aged between eight and nine and they were all new to the game. They were given numerous coaching tips from Andy Warham, the club's junior co-ordinator, and the course went down a storm.

All of the participants have been invited to go along to the club's junior training sessions which are held at Lyons Lane on Thursdays starting at 6.30pm.

They will also be encouraged to attend winter nets which start in January.

Anyone interested in joining the club's winter section should contact Andy on 659377. Any women interested in playing in the Jacobs County Ladies League should also get in touch with Andy.
