ORFORD WM C wrapped up the Section F title in Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association Red Line Recruitment Monday League with a fine victory over Pierpoints B.

The 10-4 success included quality wins from D. James, 21-7, J. Kemple and H. James, 21-8.

Second-placed Eagle B triumphed 10-5 at St. Josephs.

D. Urey, 21-12, was their best winner while A. Green took the home sweep 21-11.

Bulls Head B defeated St. Albans A 10-4.

Their men on form were M. Peters, 21-4 and G. Hoarty, 21-10. S. Gomersall replied with a 21-9 card.

St. Oswalds C won at Monk Sports C. P. McWilliams sealed the narrow victory with a 21-8 card.

Section G leaders Orford WM B were victorious at Burtonwood B.

Their 10-5 success was inspired by P. Blackmore, 21-5 and J. Ackerley, 21-8. K. Bond took the home sweep 21-1.

Irish Club B overcame Irish Club A 9-6.

B. Whittaker, 21-10, was their top gun while S. Smith and J. Ormson won 21-11 for the A team.

Kings Club A moved to within a point of the leaders with an 11-4 success at GESM C.

G. Payton took their sweep 21-7.

Table topping Red Lion C moved closer to the Section H title with a 14-0 whitewash of Stag Inn B.

Their top winners were D. Jennings, 21-7 and J. Lloyd, 21-8.

Second-placed Risley PO trounced Alford Hall C 11-3.

K. Egan, 21-6 and A. Forshaw, 21-7, shone for Risley while wins from R. Shelmerdine, 21-8 and G. Howarth, 21-9, helped Orford WM A to a 10-4 victory over Bank Quay B.

D. Peacey took the visitors' sweep 21-9.

Culcheth B's 9-5 win against Bank Quay C included classy bowling from A. McDougall, 21-9 and D. Pinkney, 21-13.

L. Tarburton was the best visitor, winning 21-9.

Meanwhile, captains are reminded that the closing date for player of the year nominations is September 3.
