The Yew Tree Reservoir is fishing very well at the moment for all species.

Arthur Slater had a nice brace of Mirror Carp on sweet corn both fish were just into double figures, and nephew Dave Slater wasn't being out done with four carp, eight tench five bream three crucian carp and a number of very nice roach, again to corn on the bottom.

The carp and silver fish are providing excellent sport maggot, caster, corn, worm and meat are all producing quality fish.

The Sankey Canal upper pound is also fishing well for Silver fish both in number and quality maggot and caster are both scoring well. Tench bream and carp are also showing to bigger baits plus maggot and casters, 30s and 70s seem to be the hot spots.

The lower pound is having a few problems with weed but the open pegs are producing good catches, tench, bream, roach, rudd, perch and large eels are all there to be caught.

Both these two sections are available on Day Tickets off the banking, £3 per adult and £1 per junior.
