A 59-YEAR-OLD woman who dealt cannabis from her Runcorn home has been given an eight month suspended sentence.
Helen Rodgers, of Westwood in Windmill Hill, appeared before Warrington Crown Court last Friday.
She had pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply at an earlier hearing.
The court heard that police searched her house on October 24 last year and found 11 pieces of cannabis wrapped in cigarette papers and foil.
The drugs had a street value of up to £250.
Rodgers admitted £80 found in the house was from drug sales. Police also found several lists of names.
The court heard she had previous convictions for possessing a controlled drug, possessing cannabis and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
Andrew Loveridge QC, defending, said Rodgers was in poor health.
Judge David Hale told Rodgers: "You did this with your eyes wide open, you had people coming to your door so you decided to supply them as you had done in the past.
"If it wasn't for the state of your health you would go to prison today - but the state of your health is exceptional. I'm giving you a last chance."
