I HAVE every sympathy with the residents of Stratton Park.

They only need to look at the David Wilson site off Rock Lane to see what the blocks of three storey town houses and three storey flats look like.

I feel heartily sorry for the residents adjoining them who paid hundreds of thousands of pounds for well designed detached houses which are now overlooked.

It is possible to build good apartments but they must be well designed and built well away from or in sympathy with houses as at the Upton Rocks Redrow site.

Come on Halton Council, take a professional view and refuse permission. Demand the best for the borough and don't accept that it's only Widnes, anything will do.
