CONGRATULATIONS on drawing public attention to the proposed location of the new police custody building.
I have lived in the area all of my life.
Over a number of years the number of greenfield sites has been reduced by houses, shops and pubs.
The one consolation to us has been the retention of the fields in and around Sandymoor for use by horse owners and the excellent network of bridle paths.
Despite the recent development at Manor Farm Road (offices, day nursery and houses) and the fact that the roads surrounding it are now used as a racetrack by cars and lorries alike, the area still remains beautiful.
The sight of ponies in fields and children playing with their four legged friends more than compensates for the problems.
If the proposed development happens this will all change.
I ask on behalf of myself and my family that everyone band together and fight this development.
