A WINSFORD family with roots going back well into the last century is hoping for long lost relations to get in touch for a reunion party.
The Brandon family is holding the big bash on September 26 and wants to make sure that anyone connected to the clan gets in touch to confirm their attendance.
Around 200 people are expected to turn up on the night to the party, with the venue still to be confirmed.
The picture, below, shows John Alfred Brandon and his ten sons pictured after scoring a series of victories in swimming events at Winsford Baths. But only two people in the picture are still alive.
Edna Adams, who is organising the party with June Clarke and Mike Brandon, said of the photograph: "We would just be glad to see any relatives we have missed out there.
"We need to know if they would like to come along and need to confirm attendance.
"There were ten boys and two girls and they all lived in a two bedroom house.
"In the picture, the family won all the prizes at the local swimming baths in Rilshaw Lane and on the same day two of the boys, Peter and Alfred won the rowing cup on the Flashes. Today the cup is known as the Hallmark trophy for fishing.
"The family were well known as match fishermen and in the building trade and travelled all over Cheshire by bicycle.
"They were all in the Salvation Army and all played some kind of musical instrument."
Anybody connected to the Brandon family who would like to attend the party should telephone Edna on 01606 863550 or June Clarke on 01606 554551, or Mike Brandon on 01606 554151.
