COMMUNITY groups are being invited to join forces to showcase the wealth of activities Alsager has to offer.
Alsager Together is an independent group which was formed to promote, organise and stage an annual exhibition in the town.
It aims to showcase the activities of voluntary and community groups and other organisations in the town and surrounding villages.
The group was established last year by Anne Scrase and Don Longhurst, and its first exhibition attracted 45 groups.
It is hoping to build on the success of last year's event with a similar initiative on October 4 at Alsager Civic Centre.
"Everyone worked so well together last year, and achieved a much higher profile for their organisations' work in Alsager," said group chairman Anne Scrase.
"We would like to include as many groups as possible, to reflect the wide range of interest and support available in this area.
"We would like any group which we have not yet reached to contact us.
"There will be room for everyone in the civic centre to bring their displays and leaflets, and talk to the public about their special part in the community."
Everyone is welcome to attend an open meeting of the group at the Guide hall in Cedar Avenue, Alsager, at 7.30pm on Monday September 15.
Anyone interested in booking a place at the exhibition is asked to ring Anne on 01270-883494.
Places are free, although groups are asked to donate a prize for the raffle, which will fund the 2004 exhibition.
