Imagine Bob Dylan lyrics given to the Beatles and then passed on to the La's. That's the sound going on here.
The title track on this CD is so Dylanesque it's frightening but being a massive fan of the great 'Bobby D' I was not complaining.
With bright chiming guitars and an almost Beatlesy/La's feel, it's no wonder Noel Gallagher is reportedly a big admirer.
This single, with its harmonica breaks and accompanying hand claps, will never top the charts and probably fall through the cracks but it's a shame because it deserves so much more.
The second track continues in a similar vein with perhaps more Beatles in the mix than Dylan.
She Speaks Of These Things is a strong B-side while the final track is slightly clunky and the weakest of the three.
So all in all this CD is short and sweet but lovely to listen to. Get on your feet for The Stands!
