WILDERSPOOL Stadium will not be shutting down quietly.
Although the last 'official' first class match to take place there will be between Wolves and New Zealand A on October 26, the venue will play host to the European Nations Cup final on November 16, kick-off 2pm.
Russia and France will join the four home nations in the seven-match tournament that starts on October 26.
The finalists to appear at Wilderspool will be drawn from the two group winners.
Group one will be contested by England A, who have Wolves' Paul Wood and Ian Sibbit in their ranks; Russia and Wales, while group two will feature France, Ireland and Scotland.
Players in Great Britain's squad for the Ashes Test series with Australia this winter will not play in the European Nations Cup.
