DOCTOR Graham Scott is convinced that his Warrington Wolves u21s Academy side has what it takes to continue their success story in a do-or-die game at Bradford Bulls.

The two sides lock horns in the final elimination play-off tonight, Thursday, and Wolves' coach is tipping his side to pull off a shock victory.

Dr Scott said: "On paper, Bradford are the best side in the competition and with home advantage they are bound to be a force to be reckoned with.

"But we are a very good side ourselves and we are nurturing the belief that we can beat anyone.

"We are a well structured team. Our defence has been superb this season and Bradford have got a real fight on their hands."

The Bulls triumphed 35-24 the last time the two sides met. The game at Odsal Stadium was fiercely competitive and Dr Scott is expecting much of the same in the 'rematch'.

He said: "There is so much at stake. Both sides know that a victory will set up a dream date with Wigan in the Grand Final and I'm sure it will be a fantastic game."

Wolves booked their place in the final elimination play-off, which kicks-off at 8pm, with a 26-20 victory over Leeds on Friday night.

Bradford on the other hand would have avoided the game had they not lost 27-14 at home to Wigan.

Richard Varkulis scored Wolves' winning try against Leeds to take his tally to the season to 28 touch downs in 23 games.

Wolves' head coach Paul Cullen said: "Richard's progress, along with a number of others in the u21s squad, has been remarkable.

"He has great potential to progress to senior level while the u21s have undoubtedly been the success story of the season at Warrington.

"The vast majority of the team were playing amateur Rugby League before Christmas and their hard work and dedication has certainly paid off."
