POLICE are trying to track down two men following a sex attack on a teenage girl in the town centre.
The indecent assault took place on Wednesday, August 27, between 1am and 3am, when a 16-year-old girl was by approached by an Asian man in a car as she was walking along Barbauld Street.
The car was on the other side of the road and reversed along beside her when she tried to walk away.
Police are also looking for another man, also Asian and in his 30s, who was in the vicinity of the Chicago Rock Caf at the time of the attack.
The man in the car is described as being of medium build, in his late 20s or early 30s, with dark hair, greying in parts. The girl is described as 5ft 5ins, with dark hair, and wearing a short pleated light coloured skirt with a lilac top.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said that at this stage they were not connecting this attack to the one committed on Bank Holiday Monday at Brick Street, near the James Lee House Hostel.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Alison Broadbent on 01244 350000.
