MOORE Rugby Union Club began their season in style by winning the plate competition at the Hoylake 10s Tournament.
They lost heavily to the hosts in their first fixture before recording victories over Caldy, Wirral and Wallasey.
Moore's success in Hoylake will give them plenty of confidence as they prepare for their league opener at home to Dukinfield on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Moore will host their first representative game on October 12 when Cheshire under 18s play North Midlands u18s. The game will kick-off at 2.30pm.
