Warrington Town 1
Stone Dominoes 3
WARRINGTON Town were left cursing missed chances and a dubious winning goal on Tuesday night.
Stone Dominoes' points sealer should not have stood as their goal scorer was at least five yards off side. But Town only have themselves to blame for coming away from the North West Counties Soccer League Division One game empty handed.
They took the lead via Graeme Mitchell's eighth goal of the season and they had good chances to extend their advantage.
But Andy Moore and Dave Tickle both fluffed their lines when clean through on goal and Stone Dominoes hit back in style to storm to the top of the table.

Yorkshire Amateurs 0
THERE was little trace of the magic of the FA Cup at Cantilever Park as Warrington Town produced a ponderous performance against Yorkshire Amateurs.
Town have made a vibrant start to the new campaign with a free flowing style of football. But they provided little creative spark on Saturday despite recording their fourth consecutive win.
Dead ball specialist Chris Bermingham conjured up the only memorable moment of the game by grabbing the winner on six minutes. Stationed by the touchline, he hoisted in a 40-yard free kick which flew into the net past stranded goalkeeper Phil Cornwall.
The goal booked Town's place in the first qualifying round of the world famous cup competition where they will meet North Ferriby United at home on September 13.
Bermingham later powered in another free kick, this time from 35 yards out, but his effort flashed narrowly off target.
Defender Lee Riley then headed wide of goal after meeting a further long range free kick by Bermingham.
At the other end of the pitch, Town's rearguard looked jittery and error prone. They clearly missed the services of suspended duo Lee Webster and Mark Ashton plus the injured Paul Davies.
But fortunately for Town, Yorkshire Amateurs failed to make full use of the time and space they were often afforded.
Town's latest new signing, Brian Ward, made his debut for the club. The former Royal Marine replaced Tommy Baker, who was feeling unwell, in the opening stages of the game.

Town will travel to the north east on Saturday where they will meet Washington in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase competition. Three days later, they will face Atherton Collieries at home in the league. The games will kick-off at 3pm and 7.45pm respectively.
