Mrs Eileen Howard, wife of the late Mr Harry Kever Howard, died on August 11, aged 92.
Mrs Howard, of Westminster House, lived in Warrington all her life. She was first employed as an usherette at the Empire and Queen's cinemas until her marriage. She helped in the family turf accountant business and later the family grocery shop.
Mrs Howard enjoyed music, particularly listening to the great tenors of her day, and musicals.
She leaves a son, a daughter, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A service was held on August 15 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation. The Rev Father Canning officiated.
Arrangements were made by Knox & Son.
