Warrington Rhythm and Blues is opening its new season still recoveringfrom the huge success of their second annual Blues Festival in June.
The season starts tomorrow, Friday, at Warrington Town Football Club, Loushers Lane, with Geoff Achison rockin' all the way from Melbourne Australia to Warrington.
Geoff has forged an international career playing his distinctive 'souldiggin' music.
After playing every conceivable blues venue and festival around Australia Geoff struck out with his own band in 1994.
Their debut CD Big Machine marked Achison's arrival as a guitarist, songwriter, bandleader and vocalist.
His latest album is called Chasing My Tail.
Organiser Ray O'Hare said: "This will be a great opening night for all blues fans.
"Also look out for a double header in October featuring, from Austin Texas and harp player Paul Orta with Honeyboy Hicking and the DT's."
Tickets for each night are £10 or you can get both for £15.
Doors open 8pm. For more information call 488009.
