THE Liverpool Philharmonic Hall kicks off what promises to be a spectacular autumn/winter season of entertainment to suit all tastes with a Highland swing when the Scottish Military Tattoo next Saturday, September 13.
This magnificent event recreates some of the most exciting and spectacular moments from Scotland and Ireland's rich history.
If Jazz or musicals are your thing then this season is guaranteed to please.
For two of the biggest names from the world of music, Michael Ball and Stacey Kent are lined to appear.
If you like to swing, then the Sinatra Gala - starring Stephen Triffit and his 30-piece orchestra, or the Glenn Miller Orchestra are sure to please. Birkenhead's own folk and country star Charlie Landsborough also appears.
There will also be audience with ITN's political editor John Sergeant, an evening of jaw-dropping acrobatics from Zaji, Chinese Acrobatic Circus. Also be prepared to rock when Status Quo takes to the stage in December.
Several classic films will be shown and no season would be complete without a turn from Liverpool's favourite funny son and king of the diddymen, Ken Dodd.
