WHILE the whole galaxy awaits the release of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, due out in cinemas on May 19, Warrington's Toys R Us was one of the first shops to launch the new themed toys.
It opened at midnight on April 1, so dedicated fans could get their hands on more than 100 different Star Wars products.
Mike Farini, manager, said the night had been a big success, although he was unable to reveal how much the store had sold.
He said: "People started queuing from 8pm and there were about 130 people when we opened the doors. Everything was just flying off the shelves."
