TWO police officers have appeared at Chester Crown Court charged with raping a woman on New Year's Eve 2002. Raymond Waring, aged 31, of Sexton Avenue, in St Helens, and Stephen McGuire, aged 33, of Guernsey Road in Widnes, will appear next on Monday, June 6 for a plea and directions hearing. The pair, both Warrington officers, are charged with two counts of rape, and misconduct in public office.
