IN perfect conditions for rugby league, Widnes Moorfield came up against a very well disciplined and organised Saddleworth side.
Both sides put in some immense tackling and it proved very hard for either side to breach the others defence.
After starting the second half 8-0 down Moorfield added some very fluid attacking moves to their already solid defence and pulled the scores back to 12-12 with tries from Konnagh Hill, Edward Connor and Caylum Williams before being denied a hard earned draw with the final attacking play of the game.
Credit to both sides for a fantastic display.
It was very difficult for the coach to select this week's award winners but the following were selected.
Man of the Match Jack Connor, coach's award Edward Connor, top tackler Caylum Williams and supporters' man of the match Michael Porter.
