A JOINT community safety action group in Davenham and Moulton looks set to go ahead as more hot spots for anti-social behaviour emerge.

As reported in the Guardian, representatives of both parish councils will make up the group, which aims to meet regularly to tackle problems of nuisance yobs, and a community safety warden will also have a greater presence in both villages to directly address problem groups.

Clr Brian Robinson, speaking at Davenham Parish Council's March meeting, said the idea of the group was being warmly welcomed by residents.

He said: "There's been trouble at the bowling club with youths climbing over the fence and getting in there.

"One weekend the youths had taken several wooden fence panels out and made bonfires on Laburnum Road field. We'd be very interested in having any information from the club, or anywhere else, to put before the committee."

The date of the group's first meeting is yet to be confirmed.
