A YOUNG Northwich hair stylist has won a place in the national final of a prestigious hairdressing competition.
Jennie Birch, 17, who works at Wilsons Hairdressing on Witton Street, stormed through the regional heats of the L'Oreal Colour Trophy last week in the next generation stylist category and will now take part in the national finals in London on May 16.
She said: "Everyone who is anyone in the world of hairdressing will be there.
"This will be a dream come true."
Jennie, a former pupil at Hartford High School, has been an apprentice stylist at Wilsons Hairdressers since she left school at 16.
Fellow hairdresser Adam Fox, 18, also did well at the regional heats but did not progress to the grand final.
