SCIENCE students from Weaverham High School geared up for a teambuilding challenge when they joined in a Krypton Factor-style event at Reaseheath College.
The Year 10 pupils faced a series of mental and physical tasks at the Nantwich college as part of a Springboard into Science project that has been launched in Cheshire schools to boost interest in the subject.
They encountered a gruelling obstacle course, which taught them that by working together as a team they would achieve their goals faster and more efficiently.
Mark Robinson, course instructor and Connexions Vale Royal personal advisor, said: "Most students can list what skills a successful team needs but it's workshops like this that prove how important and difficult the application of these skills is."
Learning to be a team player will stand the students in good stead for their team presentation on science careers to an audience of around 200 people in July.
