WORKERS fearing job losses at a Denton Drive bathroom furniture company are facing an agonising wait after administrators extended the deadline for selling the firm.
Northwich-based Choice Interiors - who have showrooms on Manchester Road, as well as in Chester and Warrington - handed operations over to Manchester administrators PKF after disappointing pre-Christmas and February sales.
A buyer deadline of 5pm on Wednesday, March 30 has now passed.
PKF administrator John Newell says this sale period has been extended but a decision should be reached in the near future.
He added: "We have had expressions of interest but it is our prerogative to change the deadline until we are satisfied we have achieved the best deal for the company."
Many customers had outstanding orders when the company was signed over but administrators are working to resolve these.
Mr Newell added: "We are not open for normal business but we are inviting customers to collect outstanding items as they come in stock."
