JAMES May is best known for his attachment to four-wheeled vehicles but nothing could keep the Top Gear presenter away from the Thundersprint next month.
The small screen star appeared at the event last year and is looking forward to returning. He said: "The relaxed 1950s atmosphere is wonderful and if it weren't for work commitments in London, I would buy a house in Northwich tomorrow."
James started his bike collection in the 1990s. He said: "My first big discovery was that although the Honda looked beautiful, 1970s disc brakes were more for appearance than stopping power."
James now uses his pair of Moto Guzzi twins and Yamaha bike to escape on his own. He added: "The opportunity just to be totally involved with the bike is a great pleasure."
James will race on a Moto Guzzi California in this year's event on May 8.
