ARCHEOLOGY hopefuls will have the chance to get their hands dirty with a Roman dig in Castle.
A site has become available next to the Blue Barrel pub on Chester Road and a trial dig has been provisionally arranged for April 23 and April 24.
Volunteers are needed to help out at the dig and anyone interested in joining in should fill in a form at the DAN office in Northwich Library, which also gives full details of the excavation.
The site is not suitable for children to take part but organisers hope to arrange a community dig in July.
