A NEW evening group is being launched to offer practical help and support to cancer patients and their families.
The inaugural meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 13 at the old police station, Mersey Road, Runcorn.
"For some time now, we have been aware that we should have a presence in the Runcorn area for people who are not available during the day and prefer to stay a little closer to home," said Ian Hair, chairman of the management committee of Widnes & Runcorn Cancer Support Group.
Advice, information, beauty and art therapies, listening and counselling plus two self help groups are available. The evening meeting is open to anyone in Halton. Call 0151-423 5730 for more details or email dee.graal@tiscali.co.uk
