BUSINESS as usual was the trend in this week's Leisure League competition.

Those at the top recorded valuable wins whilst those at the bottom would have been less grateful of their losses.

This trend was outlined in The Boys game with Random Allstars.

The game was very one-sided with second placed Boys being allowed too much time and space throughout.

The Boys don't need asking twice either as their forceful attack took full advantage of any Allstars defensive mistakes.

The result was a one-sided 5-2 Boys victory that keeps Allstars in a worrying sixth position.

Top of the table Zante had the answer, as always, to Boys win though.

They had a much tougher fixture against third placed Barchester United on Sunday but came up trumps yet again.

Their impressive attacking movement coupled with another fine performance by man of the match Gregory Brime meant that they won their fourth game of the season.

United did put together some decent chance that were troubling for Zante at times as they went 1-0 down.

There was no real panic after that as Zante ran out 4-2 winners to pen up a one-point gap at the top.

The other games in the premiership saw Looprevil beat Old Un Villa 2-0 whilst Norfolk and Courts FC played out an entertaining 4-4 draw.

Division one had a similar feel to the premiership this week with both of the top two recording impressive victories over lower opposition.

Most impressive were second placed Halton FC.

They came up against bottom of the league side Tricorn in a game that promised to be full of goals.

The Halton attack did not disappoint as hit men Neil Wheelhouse and Paul Richards grabbed a hat trick each as Halton ran out 12-2 winners.

Top of the league side Mean Machine had just the right answer against Bugle though.

Machine looked to possibly drop points as an early strike from Bugle's Martin Stanson gave them the lead.

There was no chance of that happening though as Machine turned on the style to run out 5-2 victors and move four points clear at the top.

The other two games in the division saw Allstars Athletic beat Fellaman FC 5-0 whilst Real Allstars were equally impressive against Brookvale winning 5-0.
