THE Vets returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory with the hero of the day Ivor Lewis scoring a try to celebrate his 63rd birthday.
The spring sunshine and the dry pitch allowed the Wids to throw the ball around from the off and Brian Gill had two long-range tries on the scoreboard inside the first 10 minutes.
The procession of tries continued as Crack Riley, Ste Hodgson and Martin Griffiths ran the show.
Neil Street was in tremendous form for the Vets and he was rewarded with the try of the game with some outstanding support play in a length of the field effort.
