US ROCKERS Danger Danger hit the Limelight as part of an exclusive five-date UK tour, this Tuesday.

Reunited with original vocalist Ted Poley, they'll be together to play these shores for this first time in 13 years.

Hailed by some as one of the most endearing acts of the entire melodic rock era, Danger Danger struck gold with their self-titled debut in the US, spawning hits Naughty Naughty and Bang Bang in '89.

Big press coverage greeted '91 follow-up Screw It! and single success followed via Monkey Business and I Still Think About You, along with headlining sell-out tours in Japan and joining Kiss in Europe.

Legal wrangling meant third album Cockroach didn't see the light of day for eight years with both the band and Sony hit with lawsuits from the departed Poley.

Parting ways with their label, founding members Bruno Ravel and Steve West promptly formed Low Dice Records in '95, releasing dark departure Dawn before the critically acclaimed Four The Hard Way and The Return Of The Great Gildersleeves.

In collaboration with Sony, Cockroach finally made it in 2001 as a two-disc set, one featuring then current vocalist Paul Laine and Poley on two.

It provoked an overwhelming response with many calling it Danger Danger's finest work to date.

VH1 featured them in their 'Top 40 Hair Bands Of All Time' while the band scored another coup with Naughty Naughty Xmas featured in the US number one movie The Santa Clause 2.

A compilation We Wish You A Hairy Christmas was released at the end of 2003, featuring some tracks from some of the biggest 'hair bands' of all time, while the band was buoyed by the return of Poley last year.

All the hits and more are promised in a lengthy set in the Limelight on April 12.

Deadline and Double Cross provide support from 8.45pm, tickets are £13 in advance or £15 on the door.
