ANOTHER month, another row in the Longbutt Lane/Oughtrington Lane debate.A
This time councillors again had to discuss why they felt that the plans to build 200 homes on the Lymm field were not appropriate.
The development will clearly take place, but councillors have the right to demand that what is built is the best it can be for the village.
That, after all, is why we have elections and democracy.
Yet they seem to be continually pressured into going along with what the developers want.
And there is a certain inevitability that the developers will get what they want.
But all credit to Warrington councillors, hanging on and doing what they are elected to do - represent the people that live in the borough.
