I WISH to congratulate the campaigners of Penketh who worked so hard to get the planning application of yet another mobile phone mast application scrapped.
We are all aware of the potential dangers of constant exposure to mobile phone masts and it must be a huge relief to everyone involved not to have this problem on there doorstep.
Why is it, however, that a mast can be granted planning in Farnworth Road in Penketh?
This mast is also next to housing, shops, schools and sheltered accommodation. So why has nothing been done for this side of Penketh?
It's about time we followed the example of other countries and banned mobile phone masts from residential areas completely.
