WHERE is it proposed to apply these congestion charges? The town centre is already so restricted for access.
Park and ride is a possibility, but where would the park be?
The rest of Warrington is congested too. Winwick Road and all of the outskirts are in the same mess.
The network needs to be completely overhauled, never mind charges applied. This sounds very much like a money making exercise instead of applying some sense and planning to update Warrington's road system.
I, and other driving instructors, use the roads of Warrington on a regular basis and have to try to dodge the queues daily in order to carry out training.
It doesn't matter where you go or at what time there is congestion.
It needs more thought giving to it rather than just slapping a charge on the motorist.
