CREWE and Nantwich RUFC kept their fading promotion hopes alive with a fifth consecutive victory.
Matt Farr's side did the business in a convincing 36-5 win over Ruskin Park at the Vagrants, last Saturday.
Their destiny is out of their hands though as Oldershaw can wrap up second spot with a result at Dukinfield, condemning Crewe to yet another season of Division Two rugby.
New Zealand forward Don Ngatai was the star of the afternoon with four tries as the home side dominated thanks to their powerful pack.
Crewe were leading after five minutes when a successful 5m scrum saw the ball whipped out to the blind side and finished by Andy O'Keefe.
Using their strength, a combination of 5m scrums and even a pushover the Ruskin try line enabled Ngatai to pick up every time and drive through the bodies to ground the ball.
The visitors did manage a try but Crewe were confident of hanging on to a big lead of 26-5 after blowing it against Ruskin in the first game of the season.
Ngatai went over for the fourth time with Danny Lynch backing up with spot-on place kicking, landing fourth conversions and a penalty.
Four points adrift with two to play, Crewe need to win both in hope Oldershaw slip up this Saturday.
Fingers crossed when they travel to face Ormskirk.
