COUNCIL planners have deferred their ruling on a major new development in Bewsey under the recommendation that the developers must submit more information.
Members of the borough council development control committee met last Wednesday to discuss an outline application for a residential and employment development at Warrington Central Trading Estate on Bewsey Road.
Developers Morley Pooled Pensions Ltd submitted the proposal, under which employment uses of the site such as car servicing to the east would be retained, with new small business workshops opened to the north to form a buffer between a concrete batching works and the residential development.
The residential area would contain 123 homes with a mix of two bedroom, three storey apartments and three and four bedroom town houses, ranging from two to three storeys in height.
