POLICE are trying to find a man in connection with an incident involving a teenage girl in Crewe in February.

The man is alleged to have approached a 13-year-old girl in Queens Park Drive, near Tipkinder Park, at around 4.45pm on February 21.

It is believed that the man asked the girl what time the buses ran, before he attempted to kiss her and made some indecent comments.

The man has a dark complexion with stubble on his face and blue eyes, and his most distinctive feature is a horseshoe-shaped scar on his lower lip.

Police say the man is about five feet seven inches tall, and was wearing white trainers, a dark blue short coat, light blue jeans and a woolen hat with the Coca Cola logo on it.

He was also accompanied by a four or five-year-old girl, who was thin with light brown hair in a 'bobbed' style.

The girl appeared to be wearing a school uniform under her coat.

PC Nicky Baynes said: "The girl didn't come to any physical harm, but she was very frightened and upset."

Anyone with information should call police on 01270 500222, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
