DEACON Gwyn Bamford spoke about her experiences on the TV show Bargain Hunt.
When trying to get on the show, the methodist minister for Warrington town centre, described herself as the original 'Vicar of Dibley'. The ploy worked and she and her sister had to film the purchase of their lots for the auction, with an expert to help them, and then filmed the auction itself. They also made a profit of £90 which is rare, as most contestants make a loss.
On April 29 there will be a coach trip to Oswaldtwistle Mill and on April 23 there will be a dance at the Community Hall Hollins Green from 7.30pm to 11pm. There will be a cabaret by the Evergreens singers.
