IDEAS are sought for the '£10 to grow' challenge.
We were reminded of the visit to Mastermind in Manchester, of the darts tournament and of the need for stewards for the Cheshire show.
Our speaker was Mr Hawker and the topic was the Eden Project. The project is all about education without school. He took us from the beginning of the complete renovation of the gardens of Helegan House, which had been neglected for 70 years after being used by the secret service agency in 1914, to the ideas, planning and preparation for the development of the Eden Project in a disused clay pit in St Austel.
The competition for a garden in a saucer was won by B Clements.
The next meeting is on April 25 in Grappenhall Methodist Chapel.
