SILVER Birch missed out on Warrington Soccer League's Jubilee Cup final after being beaten by Vulcan in the semis on Saturday.

Vulcan's 3-1 win means that the Frontrunner Premier Division side will face Rainhill Town in the final on May 9.

In the Premier Division, Fearnhead were cut further adrift at the bottom as they conceded a late goal to lose 2-1 to Moore United. They had initially taken the lead through Mike Tilling.

However, with there being no automatic promotion or relegation, Fearnhead will not be swapping places with Monk Sports, who went two points clear in Grange Valley Division One by defeating Greenalls St Oswalds 3-1.

Culcheth stayed within four points of leaders Beechwood in the second division with a 2-0 win against Lomax CC, while third-placed Matthiola also grabbed three points.

A late solo goal from Mark Rampley put them ahead at Mill Brow before Amin's strike confirmed their 2-0 victory.

In Division Three, Winwick United pulled off a sensational result as they beat leaders Runcorn Athletic 6-2, with the aid of a hat-trick from Daryl Brough and further strikes from Marc Debrander, Chris Appleton and Geoff Picken.
