ROAD improvements aimed at benefiting pedestrians, cyclists and motorists alike are currently under way at the junction off Winwick Road (A49) and Kerfoot Street.
But resurfacing work means the closure of some roads for the next eight days between 7pm and 5am.
The £373,000 scheme includes upgrading pedestrian crossings and improving cycle lanes and will also provide motorists with better signs and lighting.
Resurfacing work starts this Monday, April 11, and will continue until next Tuesday, April 19.
Kerfoot Street and Longford Street will be closed between 7pm and 5am with traffic being diverted via Bewsey Road, Tanners Lane, Pinners Brow and Winwick Road for the Kerfoot Street closure, and via Orford Lane and Winwick Road for the Longford Street closure.
Public transport will not be affected by the road closures.
