BOROUGH Conservative leader Brian Silvester is calling for improved protection around an important local road sign.
Cllr Silvester said the A500/M6 sign at the junction of the Nantwich and Shavington bypasses was being continually knocked down.
He has called for the sign to be replaced immediately and wants better protection to prevent it falling.
Cllr Silvester said: "Motorists who don't know the area are continually turning down Cheerbrook Road thinking it's the route to the M6.
"One resident told me he had to redirect a Polish juggernaut.
"This disturbance to local residents is totally unnecessary."
