ST HELENS Keiron Cunningham and Wigan Warriors Head Coach Denis Betts have won the latest engage Super League Monthly Awards for March.

Cunningham is engage Super League Player of the Month and Betts is engage Super League Coach of the Month.

The judging period for the awards was Rounds 5 to 8 of engage Super League.

During the judging period, Denis Betts guided Wigan Warriors to three wins from four games which included a 22-20 victory over their deadly rivals St Helens and a hard fought triumph over Hull FC at the KC Stadium despite an inexperienced team line-up.

Keiron Cunningham played in all four of St Helens engage Super League matches during March. He scored five tries and was a mainstay of a Saints side who enjoyed wins over Bradford Bulls, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Salford City Reds.

Commenting on their awards Keiron Cunningham said: ""It's nice to receive recognition, but it is a team game. March was a tough month in the engage Super League and I'm just happy that we are playing well and winning at this stage of the season."

Meanwhile, Denis Betts also commented. He said: "I am delighted to have won the award. Credit for it must go to the whole of the staff at the club. The players have done superbly well particularly in the games against St Helens and Hull. Yet again the young squad have done this club proud."
