North West Counties Cup

MARIES marched into the final of the NW Counties Cup with an excellent win at Rylands.

The Maries scored on the fifth minute, a break from a scrum and Jack Moon raced over from 90 metres, Ryan Therfall added the two points.

This was the only score during the match.

Both teams throughout the game were pressing on each other's line.

The last couple of minutes were tense times for the Maries, pinned on their own line with brilliant defence to secure a place in the final at Robin Park.

This game displayed some excellent rugby between the two sides that was a credit to both set of coaches.

The game was also supply officiated by Darren Hayes.
