THERE'S a well-oiled saying that you should never judge a book by its cover and impressionist David Lavelle is set to prove to a watching audience there is truth behind the old adage.

The Winsford impresario will take to the stage at Debees music bar in Winsford tomorrow night, Thursday, appearing as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and Ali G to name but a few.

David, who appeared on television show Stars In Their Eyes as Michael Jackson, will don outfits and makeup in the style of his famous counterparts.

He will also perform his comic creation Dirty Grandad, which has proved a favourite with previous audiences.

Debees owner Damon Horrill said: "David is a really funny guy who delights audiences wherever he performs. He's very talented and a thrill to watch."

Tickets for the 9pm performance can be bought on the door for £3.
