THE countdown to one of the biggest dates in the Middlewich calendar is on and organisers of the event say things are looking rosy.
The Middlewich Rose Fete committee has finalised the details of this year's procession, which takes place on Saturday, April 30, and members are busy putting the finishing touches to the event.
The procession is due to start at Somerfield car park at 1.30pm and will continue along Darlington Street, through the town centre and finishing at Market Field in Civic Way, where the crowning ceremony will take place.
Committee member Alison Roylance-White said there is still time for community groups to get involved and anyone wishing to take part or hold a stall can contact her by ringing 07801 344276.
