AS part of the regional initiative Operation Payback, Cheshire police are working with the North West Assets Recovery team and Crimestoppers to seize cash and assets from criminals who profit from crime.
DS Tim Dean works in the Financial Investigation Unit for Cheshire Police.
He said: "Cheshire Police have achieved considerable success in taking the cash out of crime.
"We continue to target those criminals who profit from their activities and who use their profits to bring misery and corruption to communities."
Meanwhile police are encouraging the public to give details about anyone they believe is living beyond their means with no visible means of income.
Anyone with information should ring Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
