Castle shops
YOUR correspondent's comments about the lack of greengrocers and butchers shops in Castle are correct. In fact the lack of these facilities is also evident in Greenbank and the Manor Estate beyond the railway.
The cause is simple. People prefer to use the shops and the market in Northwich or go to the supermarket. We have no control over where people do their shopping.
