PEOPLE in Frodsham will get the chance to celebrate being English on the country's national day.

The Earl of Stamford Morris, a Warrington-based group of Morris dancers, will attempt to raise the profile of St George's Day along with the English Folk Dance and Song Society, by appearing in Frodsham on Saturday, April 23.

Traditional English dance will be showcased from 10.30am to noon. Eddisbury Square managers will cordon off part of the car park for the performance and dancers will appear outside the Conservative Club and the Bear's Paw.

The display will continue later at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum.
